What’s in a NAME?

Kennedy Lake

Kennedy Lake is named for Thomas and Grace (McLaughlin) Kennedy whose 1883 homestead was on the west side of the lake. Kennedy is an Irish surname, an Anglicized form of Ó Cinnéidigh, or “Descendent of Cennétig.” Cennétig was a nickname meaning “Ugly Head.”
