Wall of Faces Needs Photo

Janna Hoehn, a resident of Maui, Hawaii has been collecting photos of all the soldiers who died in the Vietnam War for the Wall of Faces project as part of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.

There are 58,315 fallen heros on the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C. and to date the Wall of Faces has collected over 53,000.

“If anyone is related, a friend or a classmate to any of the young men on the list I would very much appreciate hearing from you,” stated Heohn. “Even if you don’t have a photo but know which school any of these young men attended, it would be so helpful. We need to obtain a photo of every single Fallen Hero whose names are etched on the Wall.

“I am also looking for an individual that would like a volunteer to be my ‘boots on the ground’ in your community. If we do not find all the photos it may mean a trip to the library to search for obituaries or to a high school to look through yearbooks.

“There were six young men whom died in Vietnam from Luce County, Michigan. We are down to needing only one more photo of Wallace R. Thorson Jr. 1949-1968, Newberry.”
